The Outerbanks

I have been here in North Carolina for sixteen years and it took me that many years before I could visit the Outerbanks and see the famous lighthouses of North Carolina. And I can tell you that it never disappoint. We left home at around one thirty in the morning to catch the first ferry out of Cedar Island to Ocracoke. It was a two and a half hour ferry ride and it was wonderful! From Ocracoke, we drove for about 45 minutes to catch another ferry to Hatteras Island. From there it was all by land. Allow me to share a few favorites for you to enjoy. Click on the thumbnail photos to view the slideshow in full screen.

Overall, the Outerbanks is a MUST place to visit!

Hampton Inn (Morehead City) – we stayed here for a night and the place is really nice and clean. Breakfast is good and if you like coffee, hot coffee is available anytime.

Outerbanks, we will be back!
